How Serie B works
Serie B is the second tier of Italian league football, sitting beneath Serie A. The competition comprises 20 clubs, each playing 38 matches across a season that runs from late summer through to the following spring. Clubs meet twice – home and away – for a total of 380 matches.
At the end of the season, the top two finishers are promoted directly to Serie A. The third promotion place is decided by a play-off tournament involving the clubs finishing third through eighth, provided certain point gaps are not exceeded. The bottom three sides are relegated directly to Serie C, while the team finishing 16th and 17th contest a play-out to determine the fourth relegation spot. These structures can shift slightly in line with FIGC regulations and any adjustments announced before a given campaign.
Matchdays are typically spread across weekends, with occasional midweek rounds scheduled to accommodate the calendar. All kickoff times are shown in UK time (GMT/BST as appropriate).
How to read the fixtures
All fixtures listed on this page display the home team first, followed by the away team. Kickoff times are automatically converted to UK local time in your browser, so you always see the correct kick-off hour regardless of where you are. Matches are grouped by matchday for clarity; postponed or suspended games remain listed with a note until a new date is confirmed.
The fixture data refreshes every few minutes on matchdays to reflect any late changes. For full seasonal schedules, use the dropdown menus at the top of the live module.
Results & what they mean
Final scores are displayed as they are confirmed by official sources. Each result directly updates the league table: three points for a win, one for a draw, none for a loss. In the event of two or more clubs finishing level on points, tiebreakers are applied in the following order: head-to-head points, head-to-head goal difference, overall goal difference, goals scored, then a play-off if necessary (though play-offs are rare and typically used only for promotion or relegation deciders).
Results pages also include a brief match timeline (goals, cards, substitutions) where available. For live matches during play, the score displayed is provisional until full-time confirmation.
Where the data comes from
All fixture, result and standings data is sourced from the official FIGC and Lega Serie B feeds, cross-referenced with live match event feeds provided under licence. Our data desk verifies every score and table movement against these primary sources. If you spot an error, please use our corrections process so we can rectify it promptly.

How often are fixtures updated?
Fixture lists are updated as soon as official matchday schedules and any postponements are confirmed by the league. On matchdays, the page refreshes automatically every few minutes.
Why are some scores marked as ‘provisional’?
Scores shown during live matches are updated in near-real time but are considered provisional until the referee confirms full-time. Once the result is officially registered, it becomes final.
